Rhubee Neale Fleeting Moments – My New Exhibition at The Mill Adelaide

ree

Hello, my friends! I’m so happy to share some wonderful news — my new exhibition, Fleeting Moments, is opening soon at The Mill Adelaide!

From 17 October to 28 November 2025, my paintings will be lighting up The Mill’s Foyer Gallery on Kaurna Yarta (Adelaide).🎉 Opening night is on Friday, 31 October, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and I’d love for you to join us. It’s free entry, everyone’s welcome, and it’s going to be such a beautiful evening of art, connection, and community.

About Fleeting Moments

This exhibition is part of Tarnanthi 2025, and it’s really close to my heart. Fleeting Moments is about slowing down and noticing the beauty in everyday life — the laughter of family, the smell of rain, the colours of sunset, or the gentle breeze that carries a memory.

These moments pass quickly, but they stay with us. Through my paintings, I aim to capture those feelings — the joy, tenderness, resilience, and love that connect us all.

Every artwork tells its own story. Some are memories from growing up on Country with my family, and others come from dreams and imagination. The colours are bright and full of energy — a celebration of life, friendship, healing, and hope.

From My Heart to Yours

Painting helps me heal and gives me a voice to share stories that words can’t always hold. Each brushstroke carries part of my journey — the strength of my ancestors, the rhythm of Country, and the light that keeps me going.

When you visit Fleeting Moments, I hope you’ll feel that too. Maybe you’ll see a memory of your own reflected in the colours. Maybe you’ll find a moment of calm, or a spark of joy. My message has always been that even a small whisper can create change — and these

paintings are my whispers to the world.

A Little About Me

I’m an Anmatyerre and Arrernte artist from Mparntwe (Alice Springs), now living and creating on Kaurna Country. I’m a painter, songwriter, storyteller and proud 2024 SA NAIDOC Artist of the Year.

Through my art practice, Desert Rhubee’s Creation, I love to share stories of hope, healing, and connection — blending tradition with the colours and feelings of the present moment.
